If you have booked one of our holiday villas in Majorca then here is some more information about travelling to the island - and getting around once you are here. Remember to adjust your watch by one hour on arrival as like the rest of mainland Spain Majorca is one hour ahead of GMT.



Who Flies To Palma Majorca?

Easyjet

The main airlines flying from British airports to Palma Majorca are Ryanair, easyJet and Monarch. The journey time is around 2 hours and 20 minutes and flights are available from most of the main airports across the UK.



Palma Airport Information

Palma Airport

The flight code for Palma Airport is PMI and it is located around 8km from the capital city of the same name. The airport welcomes around 11 million tourists annually and handles a total of about 20 million passengers per year, making it one of the busiest airports in Spain. There are four terminals here and public bus services run into the capital on frequent basis. Car hire is available in the arrivals terminal and taxis ferry tourist to their resort from outside the main arrivals hall.

If you have booked a group transfer then obviously it may take longer for you to reach your destination.

Public Transport Services in Majorca

Majorca is well served by public transport with a bus service that spans the island as well as a train service running through the central spine of the island from Palma to Sa Pobla in the North.

There is a tourist information centre at the airport which is open from 09.00 to 20.00 throughout the week (and up until 14.00 on Saturdays) where you can obtain bus and train timetables. These are also posted on the window should the office be closed.

Taxis in Majorca

There are many companies offering taxi and transfer services on the island but we recommend using the official website of the Mallorcan Taxi Drivers Association. Here you can pre book taxi transfers to and from the airport as well as book taxis for general sightseeing purposes.
