Casa Munji in Cala D'or

A beautifully restored farmhouse in gorgeous gardens full of palms and tall trees. Casa Munji is a peaceful and private house behind high hedges down a country lane. It's on the edge of the traditional village of S'Horta and just a five-minute drive from lovely beaches, restaurants and smart shops at Cala D'Or, and the sandy beach and rocky headland of Cala Ferrera.

It's a traditional stone house with shuttered windows. Inside the rooms are spacious and airy, with cool tiled floors, white walls and wooden beamed ceilings. On the ground floor there's a comfortable lounge with sofas round an open fireplace, and a long dining room. The farmhouse kitchen has lots of storage space, a breakfast table and new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and a large fridge-freezer. There are also two lovely bedrooms on the ground floor - a double and a twin - and a family bathroom.

On the first floor there's a second sunny sitting room with sofas and French windows onto a balcony overlooking the pool. There are four twin bedrooms on this floor - two with gorgeous views of the colourful gardens . There are also two family bathrooms with baths and showers.

The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens full of palms, tall trees and Mediterranean plants. There's a lovely courtyard with a shady side-terrace - with a barbecue cooking area with a sink and a fridge, a long table and benches, and stairs up to a neat roof terrace. The gardens are full of shady palms, red pepper trees, over-size potted plants and high hedges. And the long swimming pool is surrounded by lawns and a stone sun-terrace. A poolside shower bathroom and laundty room is also great for extra convenience.

Casa Munji is an elegant and historic farmhouse with beautiful gardens and a gated driveway - a wonderful house for a really relaxing family holiday or a break with friends. It's in a super part of Mallorca - in a rural area near traditional villages, and just a very short drive from gorgeous beaches and the smart resort of Cala D'Or. S'Horta village is just a couple of minutes' drive - And the beaches and restaurants are Cala D'Or are five minutes away by car.
