A lovely new family villa just a couple of minutes from the sea in the quiet resort of Son Serra de Marina, 5-minutes from the larger resort of Can Picafort. This is the perfect holiday house for two families or groups of friends.
Casa Son Serra de Marina is actually two self-contained houses each with their own floor. The house is light and bright with white and pale-coloured walls and wooden furniture. Both have a lovely large lounge and dining room, a new modern kitchen, three bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath and a shower, and a shower bathroom. Soft sea breezes blow through the house and the bedrooms also have fans for extra cooling. The kitchens at the villa have appliances including a dishwasher, a washing machine and a microwave. One of the lounges has satellite tv and a dvd/cd stereo.
The three bedrooms in each part of the house are one double room, one twin room and one single room. The ground floor part of the house has a patio garden with a swimming pool and a poolside shower. There are wonderful views from here across to the sea. There's also a lovely covered terrace at the corner of the house on the first-floor, again with pretty views over palm trees down to the sea and distant mountains beyond. Around the house - which is set behind high walls - are compact areas of garden, with a barbecue and a covered terrace. The seaside town of Son Serra de Marina itself is worlds away from the busy life of bigger resorts. It's still a distinctly Mallorcan place with its own character. There's a pretty marina area, lots of restaurants, as well as a few local bars and small supermarkets. It's also surrounded by very pretty countryside with fields of almond trees and olive groves. And if you want to visit a bigger and busier resort.
Can Picafort and Puerto Alcudia are an easy drive away along the coast. Casa Son Serra de Marina is a great house for two families or a group of up to 10 friends on holiday together. The sea and a wonderful sweeping beach are just a short walk away, and all the restaurants and local shops in this quiet seaside town are also nearby.
