Can Vertent in Pollensa

An amazing contemporary house full of minimalist modern design. Can Vertent is the perfect place for a glamorous holiday - it has the feel of a luxury hotel and it's been photographed for Spanish style magazines! As well as gorgeous rooms with huge windows, the house has a great pool and garden.

And it's also in a great location: in the countryside close to Pollença and the sea.

You first see the house off an old country lane between Pollença and Alcudia. Its striking architecture makes it look diagonal. It's very private, behind electric gates and a graveled drive. It's in a lovely part of the gentle Pollença countryside and there are fantastic views across olive groves and fig trees, palms and oaks, to the Tramuntana mountains and the Formentor peninsula.

Inside, the house is sleek and uncluttered with white walls, pale marble floors, bright white spotlighting, monochrome furniture and huge windows. All the rooms are at ground level. The lounge has black leather furniture and a wood burning stove. There's a glass-topped dining table here too. Full-height doors open out onto a dining terrace and the garden. The kitchen has lots of workspace and storage in teak units with glass counter-tops. New chrome appliances include a dishwasher, a split-level oven and a microwave. A French door leads out to a breakfast terrace at the front of the house.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are elegantly simple, sunny and bright with white linen and dark-wood fitted furniture. The double room has an en-suite bathroom in sparkling white with a bath and a shower. The twin room is really spacious with a desk and chair, doors out onto the garden terrace and a lovely picture window with views across farmland to distant mountains. There's a second bright-white shower bathroom here too.

The garden and pool are just as glamorous as the inside of the house. A lawn slopes down alongside the pool with flowers and shrubs and a lovely old tree. The pool is lined with grey stone and surrounded by a wooden deck with sun-loungers.

Can Vertent is an incredibly stylish house for a luxurious holiday with friends. It's in a very pretty and peaceful part of the countryside and it's still just a 5-minute drive from the historic old towns of Alcudia and Pollença, and 10 minutes away from the lovely beaches of Pollença bay.
