Casa Andreu in Pollensa

This is a lovely family villa with an exceptionally well designed pool and gardens. Casa Andreu is in the picturesque Ternelles Valley, just outside Pollenca, so the edge of the old town is an easy 20-minute walk away and the famous Roman bridge only a 5-minute walk.

Casa Andreu is set against the backdrop of wooded hills and a pretty stream. The gardens have lots of lawns and mature trees with lots of interesting twists like the cacti feature. And the stylish circular pool is twice the size of most villa pools. A stone sun-terrace with sun-loungers runs round one side of the pool, and a lovely covered terrace with a barbecue runs along the back of the house, overlooking the pool. There is also a table-tennis table too.

Inside the villa there's a lounge and dining area and a kitchen on the ground floor. The lounge is comfortably furnished and has satellite television and a dvd player and cd stereo. The kitchen has appliances including a dishwasher, an oven and hob, a washing machine, a fridge-freezer and a microwave. Also on the ground floor are two of the bedrooms - An air-conditoned twin bedroom and a single room. These rooms share a bathroom with a bath and a shower. The bright and airy master double room with air-conditioning takes up the whole of the mezzanine-style first floor.There is a door at the top of the staircase seperating this off. It has an en-suite shower bathroom, and views of the Lluc mountains behind the house.

Casa Andreu is a great family villa, perfectly designed for spending long hot days outside in the pool and gardens. It's just a short daytime walk into Pollenca old town from here, and a 10-minute drive to the beaches and resort of Puerto Pollenca. The single bedroom does not have air-conditioning but has a fan.
