Casa Conxa in Pollensa

Just a short stroll from the atmospheric main square of Pollença stands this delightful Mallorcan family home that has been lovingly refurbished by the owners, Toni and Conxa, and decorated to a very high standard, with the bonus of having the option ot have the pool heated and also wi-fi internet access.

Deceptively spacious with large rooms and high beamed ceilings, Casa Canxa combines the comforts of modern living with traditional style décor. Much of the credit must go to Toni whose skills as a carpenter are in evidence throughout the house with its beautifully crafted and comfortable wooden furniture.

Entering the villa through the front door brings you straight into the impressive grand entrance hall and dining room where your eye is immediately drawn to the wonderful large wooden table and beautiful dark wood units. A fabulous archway leads into the delightful lounge where you can relax on comfortable sofas in front of the homely wood burning stove. Another unusual feature of the living area is the interior patio, adorned with plants and a glass bottle collection, all housed in a pretty, illuminated glass case.

A small hallway lies just to one side with a shower bathroom whilst another door leads through to the well-equipped kitchen. Large and spacious with plenty of marble work surfaces, it features a breakfast table and doors that lead out to the pool and gardens. There is also a separate utility area complete with washing machine.

A splendid wooden staircase - with child safety gates at the top and bottom - sweeps guests majestically to the upper level where there are two twins and one large double bedroom. One of the twin rooms overlooks the pretty street at the front of the house and features balcony railings, and both are furnished in simple rustic style and share a separate full bathroom. At the back of the house the large double bedroom has an equally impressive en-suite bathroom with corner Jacuzzi, double vanity unit and large mirror, plus a ceiling fan. This bedroom also has access to a lovely terrace overlooking the pool and barbecue area, plus a stairway down to the gardens.

Tucked quietly away in the centre of the village, Casa Conxa represents a real gem of a Villa, lovingly restored by its owners in gorgeous rustic style. A location like this is an attraction not to be missed with a 2-minute stroll taking you to the heart of Pollenca Old Town - one of the most picturesque parts of Mallorca.
