Can Coloma in Pollensa

A great family villa surrounded by lovely gardens in a sheltered and private setting. It's tucked away down a long drive off a tiny country lane so it's an ideal base for exploring this part of the island. Can Coloma is in the gentle countryside between the historic town of Pollença and the sea at Puerto Pollença.

Inside, the house is full of sunny and airy rooms. This is classic modern-Mallorcan design with white walls, cool terracotta-tiled floors, and some lovely dark wood country furniture. All the rooms are at ground level. There's a sleek new kitchen with lots of work surface and storage, and appliances including a dishwasher, a microwave and an American style fridge-freezer. There's a separate laundry room at the back of the house. The kitchen opens out into the airy lounge-diner with a traditional bench and dining table, comfortable sofas, satellite television and a dvd player. This room is air-conditioned and there are also French windows opening out onto the garden terrace.

The two bedrooms are also air-conditioned and newly re-designed. Both the double and the twin room are cool and bright with traditional furniture. The double room has a gorgeous new en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There's also a second shower room - also brand new. Gardens and covered terraces surround the house with beautiful views across open countryside to the Puig Maria mountain in the distance.

There are fruit trees and palms for shade and lots of lawn for relaxing or for children to play. There's a lovely pool with a sun-terrace and a poolside shower bathroom. And as well as the shady terrace that overlooks the pool and garden, there's a seperate covered barbecue area with a professional built-in oven and lots of space to eat, drink and talk into the evening.

Villa Can Coloma is a very welcoming house in a perfect place either for relaxing in the sheltered gardens or round the pool, or walking or cycling in the countryside. Its nearest neighbours, some distance across a small stream, are the animals of a sanctuary - and there are also friendly donkeys in a nearby field! And because it's so close to Pollença and Puerto Pollença you can easily visit historic sites, eat in lovely restaurants, go shopping, or have the whole day at the beach - all within a five-minute drive.
