Can Rabassa in Pollensa

A beautifully converted stone house with a gated driveway in peaceful countryside - near to the old town of Pollenca and Pollenca's golf course. Can Rabassa is a wonderful holiday home with lots of traditional Mallorcan design and features, surrounded by lush mature gardens with great views of the Puig Maria mountains.

Inside, the house has large rooms and lots of space. It's cool and comfortable with a mixture of stone walls and white-painted walls, and terracotta-tiled floors. The rooms are full of antique dark-wood furniture and lovely traditional Mallorcan ceramics, ironwork and pictures. On the ground floor there's a long lounge and dining room with satellite tv and a cd/dvd stereo. There's also a large kitchen with another dining table and chairs and appliances including a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor there's a twin bedroom with traditional stone walls and plenty of storage space in fitted wardrobes. Opposite this room is a shower bathroom. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned.

The other bedrooms are on the first floor. There are two large double bedrooms, both with white walls and pale tiled floors, and one with a high antique bed and dressing table. There's a second twin room here too, again with dark-wood furniture. These rooms share a large bathroom with a bath and a shower. An extra feature on this floor is a beautiful stone-walled reading room with views over the garden and surrounding fields. There are even more far-reaching views from the villa's roof terrace, which is very private and looks over woodland to the Puig Maria mountain.

The gardens and pool are really well established with lots of Mediterranean plants, lawns and tall trees for shade and privacy. A covered dining-terrace overlooks the pool and there's a long sun-terrace shaded by trees. There's also a pool shower-bathroom. Can Rabassa is an outstanding holiday home, with large rooms and lots of space. It's full of traditional character and history but has been updated to be comfortable and welcoming. Its owners Jaime and Ana look after the house with love, and families and groups of friends return here on holiday year after year. It's in a lovely part of the countryside just outside Pollenca. It's just a five-minute drive from here into the old town and a ten-minute drive to the beach at Puerto Pollenca. Pollenca Golf is even closer, just a two-minute drive away.
